I keep getting the following error when I enter a new purchase/receive inventory order.
Error Posting Chart of Account balances to account id:1000.
I'm trying to post it to my cash account because it was paid in cash; however I've checked my general ledger and because what I am trying to post is an activity item for some reason I keep getting the above error.
Please help!

Did you check your chart of accounts to see if this account exists? Company -> Module Administration -> PhreeBooks module (properties icon) -> Chart of Accounts tab and make sure the account exists.
Also, you should not use a cash account to receive inventory, use an Accounts Payable account and then use the Banking -> Pay Bills to pay the invoice. Using a cash account will cause problems she you try to reconcile.
