I have set up assemblies, and want to include labor as part of the assembly and to calculate cost of goods. Whe I do this, and go to build an assembly, it comes back with not enough stock to build, and the .5 hour of labor I added shows up as zero. How can I do this?
On a similar vein, how can I add labor for service procedures? Do I have to "stock" labor? Thanks

At this time, thee is no way to include labor into an assembly. Labor and Service items are non-stock type items and stock levels are not tracked. If you put a labor item as an hourly price, your can use fractions for partial hours of labor.

I have some questions.
Can I use non stock items in an assembly? Like paper clips or something. Will their cost end up in the assembly?
I am trying to use labor as an assembly item, non stock. On the assembly screen, it appears to work fine, but the resulting journal entry sets the cost to $1 in all cases. Could you readily identify where this occurs?
You seem to calculate all the items for an assembly for the entry screen, then pass only the assembled item back for posting. Is that correct?
Thanks!

It's a bit more complex than simply pointing to the problem. I have made some changes to the trunk for release in R3.3, you'll have to wait, sorry.
