Well I have been playing around with this software. My company really needs to switch to something new.
Some of the things I cannot figure out is tracking serial numbers or who ordered a certain product. We need to be able to see what serial numbers are available, track who got them and when. Is this all in the current version or something that needs to be modified?
Thank You for any help!

You'll need to do this through the report tool. There is no standard report to show serial numbers but the information is stored with the invoice transaction in the journal_item table. You may be able to modify one of the standard reports and add the column serialize_number field to pull the information you are looking for.

I use this form for to track the serialized items movement. I hope it will help. The primary usage is to track all movements of one item with the serial number. You can also use it to display all movements for item with one SKU. This is useful for searching of the lost items.
Note: You have to set either S/N or SKU field to equal. Otherwise the output will be very long and useless.
