Is it possible to create multiple inventory items of the same product.

In other words suppose I buy 100 blank items. Now I offer the items for sale as printed one side (itemA) or printed both sides (itemB) with different prices. If I create a invoice and add two times of itemA that should reduce stock on the original 100 items. Next invoice someone orders 1x itemB. That two should also reduce stock on the 100 original items. So ive got 97 left.

Is it possible to do this, other than having to load itemA with 50 on hand and itemB 50 on hand.

Thanks

Make them an assembly. Item A uses 1-shirt and 1-front iron-on (even a certain kind, SKU), Item b uses the same shirt plus 1-back iron-on (different SKU). When you 'assemble' your shirt, you pull from the shirt inventory and the correct iron-on. This will track not only the sirts sold but how many of each type. this method would be best if you had a limited number of possibilities (say shirts for a concert where there is one iron-on and only size and color change but the next concert uses the same shirt but different iron-ons).

This may result in too many combinations so another approach would be to use two items when a customer buys a shirt. One for the shirt and another for the iron-on. This will reduce the appropriate inventory values without having to create so many assemblies.
Just a few ideas.
