I have finished 70 % of the czech translation and still working on to put Phreedom into production use as soon as possible. But I need some hint how to handle version update. After the Phreedom and modules update there appeared XXX_XXX_XXX intead of real messages. How do I easily fix it and update translation?
I need to:
  • Keep same message strings
  • Remove unused strings
  • Add new strings in english as untranslated
Is the Translator module able to do that? Any hints

I got it. Just for reference for other newbies I'm posting the step by step guide.
Create new translation, language to create is the language which you want translate to. Source language is usually en_us.
Then tick "Then overwrite" box and fill in the language of the old version, usually the same as create language.
When you hit the save button, there is created another translation for the chosen module and for the new version, older version is kept intact.
Resulting new translation version has all string for the new version, but all same strings from previous version are kept translated.
Finally one tip for the improvement: The copy of old unchanged strings should keep translated flag. It would be easier to review the remains and finish the translation.
