Hi,

My default currency is set to Euro and the sign on the left of the numbers is set to €. This works fine in HTML reports. However in (standard balancsheet) pdf reports I get: € instead of a € sign. The textformatting is set to "default currency".

Any idea's?

Pret

Try changing the font to serif as this font supports UTF-8 encoding. Also, try to reproduce this on the demo site. If it works on the demo site, you may have a set-up setting that needs to be adjusted.

I have a similar problem with pound symbols, I get a strange A in front of the pound symbol. I only have 3 font options though, Helvetica, Times Roman and Courier.

Am I missing some fonts?

I'm runninf phreebooks 3.2 on Centos 5.5.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Rich

You need to use TCPDF (UTF-8 compliant) as your PDF generator. This will enable the serif font on your reports and forms. This can be set in Company -> Module Administration -> Phreeform Properties, last line on the General tab. If you have upgraded from prior version, make sure that you are not overriding the configuration value.

That could be the problem, I don't see a Phreeform properties.

I have Modules, My Company, Configuration, Email Prefs, Currencies, Company Manager, Tools and Stats.

I've looked in all of those and there isn't a PDF generator option.

Hi Richard
Go to Company -> Module Administration, then click on the screwdriver/wrench of Phreeform. You will find it at the bottom of the parameters being displayed.

Good luck

OK, spot the blind person!

I've checked and it is already set to TCPDF. Any thoughts?

Try to export your report and import on the demo. See if you can reproduce it there. That will give me a place to troubleshoot it.

I've uploaded it to demo but it works fine showing the $ symbol - which is the posted currency. I then checked the demo setup against mine and there were extra ? after the pound and euro signs. I remove the extra ? and it now works fine!

So if anyone else gets strange characters check your question marks :-)
