Hi Dave,

I encounted a problem that when I tried to Estimate Carrier for an invoice (UPS shipping), some times it returned the error cURL Error: XML Read Error (cURL) #6. Description=name lookup time out. The problem often occurs but not shown every time.

Can you please check where is the wrong? it's caused by our server issue or Shipping Service (UPS) issue?

I don't use the UPS module. The biggest problem is that UPS doesn't support php and I had to take my best shot at it. If you are sometimes receiving an error, trap code will need to be added to capture the error and try to get more information. From there it should be possible to fix the problem.

From your description, it looks like a dns error with your browser not resolving the ip address of the server. This is not a phreedom problem but with your ISP. You may want to try to use the google dns addresses, they resolve pretty fast.
