Hi,

Can you tell me where/how the custom report information is stored? I am in the process of moving everything to a new server in my office. So rather than upgrade version R32 on my old server, I did a clean install of R33 on my new server, exported my old database and imported it into the new database on my new server. Everything came over without any problems and seems to work fine except that when I try to access one of my custom reports, (like my company invoice) it won't open.

So it seems like I need to move something else as well. I've search the old R32 folder for all xml files and they were all moved, but my custom reports still aren't opening. What am I missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Regards,

Greg

OK, things are getting stranger and stranger.

I've been testing some of the standard reports and they exhibit the same problem. When I select one of the standard reports such as "Balance Sheet", the Balance Sheet Details options appear. But if I select "open" or "edit, it opens "Customer Quotes" Report Generator.

This is consistent with a number of the forms and reports, I've tried and what was happening when I tried to open my custom reports. The correct details page opens when selected, but if I choose to open or edit, a different report generator report/form opens.

Some appear to work fine though. Daily Cash Report opens the details and then the Daily Cash Report Report Generator page.

So, what is causing this and how do I correct it?

there is a table (named phreeform) that holds all your reports the id of these table rows match (or in your case mismatch) to xml files in the folder my files/my company/ phreeform

if you can just rename the files than all should be oke.

Thanks Rene,

I had a lot of reports and forms that were out of sync so before I tried relinking them all with the table, I tried another approach.

Since the version on my old server worked fine, I just copied the entire Phreedom folder onto my new server, exported the database and imported it into a new database on the new server. I checked that everything worked and then did an update on the new server.

Viola. Everything is properly linked and I am up and running in time to close out last year's books.

Thanks again.

Greg

Phreeform syncs the database with the /my_files/db_name/Phreedom folder. If you move the db, you need to move the folder as well to keep everything in sync. The id of the form record needs to match the id (in the filename) of the actual form file in the Phreeform directory.
