You need to create Fiscal Years for the accounting periods you plan to enter data in. You should do this when you install. You can see what you have here: General Ledger> Administrative Tools

Sorry, can't go backwards. You need to enter the earliest fiscal year during setup. There is no provision on Phreedom to create a fiscal year earlier than the first year created during the install.

dave

I WANT REPORT THE FOLLOWING TO YOU.
I FOUND THE first fiscal year setting in , install\pages\main\pre_process.php

i edit it i-3 to i-5, THEN I CAN CHOOSE 2007-04-01 WHEN NEW INSTALL.
Code:
$sel_fy_year = array();
for ($i = 0; $i < 8; $i++) {
  $sel_fy_year[] = array('id' => date('Y')+$i-5, 'text' => date('Y')+$i-5);
}

BUT AFTER INSTALLED, I START TO TESTING, THE ACCOUNTING HAVE PROBLEM
1. ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS---SQL ERROR
2. GENERAL JOURNAL MANAGER.........ETC ---SQL ERROR

I CHECKED THAT DB ACCOUNTING_PERIODS ONLY HAVE
2007-04-01 TO 2011-03-31 (48 PERIOD)
THERE MISSING 2011-04-01 TO 2011-08-31

I MANUAL INPUT 5 PERIODS IN PHPMYADMIN TO FIXED IT.
==============================================
IS IT NEW INSTALL HAVE LIMIT OF THE PERIODS??

It's possible that you cannot go back that far to start your fiscal year. I have never tested that far back. Have you tried to generate fiscal years through General Ledger -> Administrative Tools -> Generate New Fiscal Year? You should be able to generate fiscal years from your first year until the current fiscal year.

yes,

but hv some unknow problem.
when install without demo data, this will hv error in
General Ledger -> Administrative Tools -> Generate New Fiscal Year

MANUAL INPUT FY data in phpmyadmin to mysql can fix this.
=============================

If install with demo data, i can setup the follow year :
2006/ ARP -- 2009/MAR add 3FY
2007/ ARP -- 2010/MAR add 2FY
2008/ APR -- 2011/MAR add 1FY

All only setup 48 months, other FY General Ledger -> Administrative Tools -> Generate New Fiscal Year to add.
****No error come out.****
