Hello all,
Me and my wife are running a small 2-person company with a Zen-cart webshop that is getting more and more succesfull, in such a way that it takes me two to three hours per day to make invoices in our administration program.
So, the possibility to import orders from zen-cart in phreebooks looks great to me. It would save me a lot of time
The second problem we have is that our inventory is growing quickly to over a million parts (from very very small and cheap to large and expensive). We need to keep track of the inventory better than what we are doing now. The inventory-section of the program looks great, but after a few days of playing and testing I'm still not sure if the program can give us what we need. I hope somebody can tell us if we can carry on with phreebooks or that we will have to look elsewhere. Because it looks a lot like zen-cart we would gladly start working with phreebooks, I think it's absolutely SUPER that there are people like Dave, spending their time on other peoples problems. Thanks Dave!
I will describe in short how we work and would like to hear is this is possible in phreebooks.
We sell empty bottles, caps, essential oils, droppers, flower esences, etc.
When I buy empty 10ml bottles with droppers I must order the bottles per tray of 100 pcs. and the droppers in a box of 2500 pcs. So what I would like is to be able to make a purchase order p.e. for:
50 x tray10010ml
2 x boxdropper10ml
By ordering and receiving this, the inventory must be increased with:
5000 bottles 10ml
5000 droppers for 10ml bottle
A customer can buy:
1 x fles10mldin18 = one bottle 10ml
this must decrease the inventory amount of the bottles to 4999 bottles.
But he also must be able to buy:
1 x fles10mlBD50dr = one box with 50 bottles 10ml and 50 droppers.
This must decrease the inventory of the bottles from 5000 to 4950 and the droppers also from 5000 to 4950.
So as well as for the purchase orders as for the selling orders I must be able to create different assemblies that have effect on the stockamount of the same single parts.
I have been trying to create assemblies, but get messages that I can not make them, because there is not enough stock, etc. I understand you can not build and sell an assembly when stock is low, but I just want to make different entries in the pricelist for buying the trays and boxes with droppers and for selling the items per piece or combined in a box.
This is ofcourse just an example, we have over 7000 different products in our shop, some simple one on one, but also hundreds of these 'assemblies'.
Am I doing something wrong, not being able to build the assemblies as I described?
I hope to hear from you.
Kind regards, Frank, Netherlands.
