I do know of some conversion and sync tools for between MYSQL and MS SQL but it would be so much nicer if I could use this program with my already expensive MS SQL SERVER

can this be done anytime soon (upon install of phreebooks it stated on a drop down in the "PICK YOUR DB" phase that there would be support for other DB types but that it was best for me to just pick MYSQL for now)...or can i be directed to someplace with info on the subject?

The only other db on the list at the present time is postgres. I'm trying to stick with freeely available technologies to keep the operating cost of PhreeBooks as low as possible.
