In following your list above,
1. Upload the file (zipped). I go to: (Tools> Translator Assistant> Upload from zip file), everything set as above, (es_es_21.zip) after what seems to be an upload, I get a server error:

Server error.

The website encountered an error while retrieving http://mysite.com/index.php?module=tran ... in&list=0&. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

What do you think?

Check you php error log. See if there are any errors when you tried the upload.

Enclosed are the translation files for es_cr for freedomR30RC4.

This is the status of the spanish translation:

Reports: Only the translated version of Invoice and Audit Log are included.
Charts of accounts. Only the translated Simple Retail Corp. is included.
Help files. Only the translation of the license, the introduction screen and the index are included.
Linkpoint_api: was not translated and not included
Demo data: translated data is not included
Locales file was translated
The translation the following addon modules is included:
RMA
Translator
ZenCart
Assets
Dashboard modules I posted.

Notes:

* The selected install language works only on the first screen. The chosen language does not carry on to the 2nd, 3rd or 4th screens.

* The translador module does not pickup any composite defines like:
define('TEXT_DISPLAY_NUMBER_OF_ITEMS',TEXT_DISPLAY_NUMBER . 'Códigos');
so they have to be added manually.

Also it does not pick up long defines such as:
TEXT_COPYRIGHT_NOTICE
INTRO_WELCOME

* If your install language has no chart of account files, you must switch to another language that has the files to install one.

* The font section is not appearing on the edit/new of forms. Also, freesans is similar to the default font which is helvetica, so it is my opinion that it should also be the default utf-8 font. The freesans font is included with the distribution, but it is not coded to appear as a selection.

* It tried to install the demo date with RMA, translator, ZenCart, Assets but the inventory items were not loaded and gave an sql error: row one column count does not match.
I did not investigate it further.

* The demo data used to be in a single file, but now it is embeded in several core files. I think it is more impresive to have the data translated as well. It would be nice to have it tied to language files.

* On the Budget Manager screen the following is not being pulled in any language: GL_FISCAL_YEAR

* There is no place to edit countries or states.

Congratulations on this new version. It is quite an improvement. Thank you for such a great product and I wish you much success.
