I cannot save or edit on my work computer.

For instance I was trying to set up a new user. Now I can copy an existing user but I can't click through on the edit button. Also I was trying to set up a supplier in the vendor section but when I tried to save it it just done nothing.

I'm using IE6 at work. I can make the changes on my mobile (though that's a challenge for other reasons as highlighted in another post) & and my local network computers at home.

If I click into Company -> Users and then click on an edit button for a user the error message displayed in IE6 says:

Line: 242
Char: 1
Error: Object Expected
Code: 0
URL: http://domain.com/phreedom/index.php?mo ... ers&list=1

Any ideas?

Thanks

Eamonn

Run the same test with FireFox and open the Error Console before you execute the script. Post the error here. Firefox will have more detail so I know where to look.

I can't re-produce this and the IE message is too cryptic for me to do anything with it. IE6 is a very old browser version. Microsoft is in beta for version 9. The most likely scenario is that there is JavaScript that is used which is not supported by IE6. See if your company can update their browsers a little. It is also possible that they have disabled functionality to lock down their machines and more problems like this may appear. Unfortunately, without knowing what it is they are disallowing, or knowing where the error is occurring, debugging remotely will be almost impossible.

No worries Dave and was expecting a response along those line. I was just asking more as a curiousity as to whether this was a general issue with IE6 and no hope or if it was likely something specific. It matters not at the end of the day given the limited amount of configuration I was able to do.

There is little chance of an upgrade in the next few months. They have started roll out upgrades across our Organisation however we have very specialist systems with multiple support companies so we have been shoved to the back of the upgrade list. It is all the more disappointing approach as none of our systems actually rely on either Windows 2000 or IE6 and would all benefit from the upgrade.

Hi Dave,

Thank you for such a great software.
I use it in my business.

I experienced the same problem.

These are the attachments.
I do apologize I send it one by one, because currently Internet connection is not stable in my place.

Looks like you don't have a value set for you currency decimal point. This causing the javascript to fail when you load the page. Go to Company -> Module Administration -> Currencies tab and set a currency value.
