Dave,

Brilliant software with tons of potential! I do have one question however:

1) Since the world is becoming global and the EAN/UPC codes (Global Trade Number or GTIN) are standardized (or standardizing) with 14 digit (0 prefixed) Barcode identifiers, I would like to see if there is a way to enable the UPC line to accept 14 digits? Perhaps; calling the line "GTIN Number:" and then in the setup, allowing the user to specify their preference?

If this can't be done easily now, perhaps right now just expanding it to accept up to 14 digits?

Apparently I am stupid. :) You can easily change the UPC Field to accept 14 characters by editing the field under the custom field editor in Module Administration for the Inventory Module. I am assuming *and praying* that this will not break any functionality withing the system. :)

To clarify, apparently when you edit a field using the custom field editor, it changes the tab display to the custom tab. However the tab display for the primary "System" tab is hard coded in the template_tab_gen.php file in the inventory module...so.

Don't change the field in the custom field editor, but rather in two places; the database and in the above php file, and it appears you are good to go.

You can override the label of the field using the custom file:

/modules/phreedom/custom/language/en_us/language.php

and define the constant in there. This file is loaded before all other langugaes and set the title as you want.
