Bizuno Settings #

Bizuno settings relate to configuration values that generally used system wide. The number of tabs and tab features will vary depending on the modules installed.

Settings tab

The Bizuno Settings tab configures properties related to the core Bizuno module. The image below is representative of the categories available. Depending on the modules installed, there may be greater or fewer tabs. To select a category to view/edit, click on the accordion bar. The settings and definitions are described below:

General Accordion

General Settings that apply application wide and typically control application behavior.

  • Minimum Password Length – Sets the minimum characters allowed for passwords when adding new users. The minimum value is 5, there is no maximum.
  • Default Number of Rows – Sets the default number of rows when displaying manger results. NOTE: This value is also used throughout the application for dynamically generated pull down menus.
  • Browser Session Expiration Timeout – Sets the number of minutes of inactivity to allow before the browser session with the server expires. A setting of zero will turn on auto-refresh and the session will be refreshed every 5 minutes. NOTE: This should only be set to yes on trusted computers. This option will keep a session alive even when the computer is asleep.

My Business Accordion

The My Business Accordion sets the basic information about your business. These values are used in auto-fill operations sending emails, receiving location for purchases, etc.

  • Store ID –

Bizuno API Accordion

The Bizuno API accordion allow for overrides to the PhreeBooks defaults to help identify transactions into Bizuno from outside sources. This can be helpful to track transactions that originate from your e-store or other outside application for sales, customers, and other helpful tidbits.

  • Default Accounts Receivable GL Account – Typically an Accounts Receivable type account. If this is left blank, the default accounts receivable account for customers set in the PhreeBooks module will be used.
  • Default Sales GL Account – Typically an Income type account. If this is left blank, the default sales account for customers set in the PhreeBooks module will be used.

Stores tab

Stores tab (part of the Stores Extension)

The Bizuno Settings – Stores tab configures properties related to multi-store operation. Stores can be used to track inventory, purchase and sales. Multi-store operation will allow you to have better visibility into your business by knowing what happens, when and where. Stores can consist of brick and mortar buildings or virtual locations, such as a e-commerce site.

Extra Tabs tab

Bizuno has a built in feature to expand inventory attributes (fields) to allow for further refinement of your inventory items. To help organize these expanded fields, added inventory fields are organized into categories. These categories become the tab headings when maintaining your inventory items. The mandatory inventory fields are, by default, put into the ‘System’ tab. If the inventory type is an assembly, a second tab name ‘Bill of Materials’ is also added. At least one tab must be added before inventory fields can be entered.

Adding a Tab

  1. From the main menu select Inventory->Setup Inventory Field Tabs.
  2. Press the New button.
  3. Enter a short name for the inventory tab, 10 characters or less, no spaces.
  4. Enter the sort position. This will determine the display order of the tabs when maintaining inventory items.
  5. Enter a tab description. This field will show up below the tab to describe the contents of the tab.
  6. Press Insert to add the new tab.

Editing a Tab

  1. From the main menu select Inventory->Setup Inventory Field Tabs.
  2. Click anywhere on the row to highlight.
  3. Press the Edit button.
  4. Edit the inventory tab fields.
  5. Press Update to save your changes.

Deleting a tab

WARNING: Deleting a tab will also delete all inventory fields that are part of that tab. To keep the fields, edit each inventory field and reassign them to a valid tab before deleting.

  1. From the main menu select Inventory->Setup Inventory Field Tabs.
  2. Click anywhere on the row to highlight.
  3. Press the Edit button.
