Inventory Attributes #

Overview

The Inventory Attribute extension creates additional fields to describe an inventory item. They can be used in conjunction with other item details to differentiate the item from other similar items. The attributes module integrates with e-commerce modules when uploading inventory to create a more feature rich description of the item. Many cart will use the attributes to allow users to compare similar items.

Installation

From the main menu, navigate to:
My Business -> Settings -> Inventory tab and press the Install button on the Inventory Attribute module section. You may need to log out and back in to reload the cache and register the module and initialize.

Security and Permissions

Permissions for this module are based on the permissions of the Inventory manager module. This module appears as a tab in the detail listing of the inventory item.

Settings

This module does not have any user configurable settings.

Usage

Removal

From the menu, navigate to:
My Business -> Settings -> Inventory tab and press the Uninstall button on the Inventory Attributes module section. You may need to log out and back in to reload the cache and register the module and initialize.

Caution: Users currently logged in and with permissions set will still see the tab in the inventory detail page. The menu item will not be removed until they log out and back in.
